Léger and La Création du monde. An avant-garde ballet

In the summer of 2026, the Fernand Léger National Museum will spotlight a landmark 20th-century ballet, La Création du monde, which premiered on October 25, 1923, with the Ballets Suédois, in collaboration with leading artists of the interwar period: dancer Jean Börlin, poet Blaise Cendars, composer Darius Milhaud, and painter Fernand Léger for the sets and costumes.

Curated by: Anne Dopffer, Director of the National Museums of the 20th Century in the Alpes-Maritimes, and Julie Guttierez, Chief Curator of Heritage at the Fernand Léger National Museum
