Sam Francis | “I paint time.”
October 19th - November 14thDuring the MaSH event on Monday, October 19, Galerie A&R Fleury will open its Sam Francis exhibition, “I paint time.” From 1950 to 1980, visitors will discover the expressive world of this master of color through some twenty works of intense luminosity.
From his early works, still influenced by Abstract Expressionism, to his later compositions, Sam Francis never ceased to explore the possibilities of color. His works, filled with floating forms and bursts of color, reflect a unique relationship with light and movement. Bringing together works spanning three decades of his career, this exhibition highlights the richness of his cosmopolitan journey, shaped by his stays in Europe, Japan, and the United States. It thus reveals the full scope of a body of work that is both physical and contemplative.
